This is the time of year when we start to see colors and patterns emerge. Spring is just around the corner and so is St. Patrick’s Day!
Now, we’re in March and for kids we’re seeing all things green and multi-colored…or rainbow, as my young one likes to point out! What’s more refreshing than that?
While shopping for St. Patty’s Day, I came across so many different shades of green and cute multi-colored items that I had to scale back on what I was putting into my shopping cart! I had several outfits picked out for ideas, but I had to narrow them down to a few fun favorites!
Sure you can shop at local retailers for graphic tees adorning shamrocks and rainbows, but if you go for an outfit without them, your child can wear it year-round!
I loved this long knit sweater dress paired with plum-colored purple leggings. It can be worn again and again…even by changing out the leggings for a different color. It’s festive without overdoing it. It can be worn on a cold March day or even a warmer one by simply adding a denim jacket over top and your girl can be ready to head out for school!
In addition, I spotted this floral corduroy mini skirt as soon as I stepped down the aisle — so cute! Several different tops would coordinate well with it, but in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, I chose pastel green! Another great outfit that can be worn outside the realm of St. Patrick’s Day.
Moving along, I found boys’ t-shirts in just about every shade of green! I then came across this cozy green and black flannel and the placed a bold colorful tee underneath it; and for a more sporty look, I put together this multi-colored polo shirt with grey cargo pants. Have your boy throw on a pair of cool, edgy-looking sneakers and both looks are complete!
Spring is a short walk around the corner, so this is the time to brighten up your child’s wardrobe; but first things first — help your kids celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in style!
Remember — look for items that are versatile which can be worn throughout the spring season. Your local Goodwill stores have so much to choose from and as always, at a thrifty price!
