2025 Celebration of Champions Honorees

GOODWILL ELECTS NEW BOARD MEMBERS & HONORS PROGRAM CHAMPIONS

AKRON, Ohio — March 28, 2025 — Goodwill serving Summit, Portage, Medina, Ashland and Richland Counties held its 98th Annual Meeting virtually on March 26, 2025, to elect board members and honor program champions.

“This celebration showcased a record-breaking year of service and the inspiring achievements of our 2024 Celebration of Champions honorees!” said Nancy Ellis McClenaghan, president & CEO, Goodwill Industries serving Summit, Portage, Medina, Ashland and Richland Counties. “We proudly showcased our sustainable initiatives and how we are addressing transportation barriers that affect job seekers in our five-county region. Thanks to the generosity of philanthropist MacKenzie Scott, the remaining funds from her 2020 $5 million grant continue to support transportation resources, including bus passes, fuel cards and our revolving auto loan program. This revolving auto loan program serves individuals who may experience difficulty qualifying for traditional loans or would otherwise be vulnerable to predatory lending. The unwavering support of our board, staff and community has been instrumental in achieving these milestones, and we are truly grateful!”
