Goodwill’s Taste of Vintage Event Raised Over $125,000 to Support Mission

AKRON, Ohio — Nov. 3, 2023 — Goodwill Industries serving Summit, Portage, Medina, Ashland and Richland Counties, along with honoree, Danielle J. Kimmell, raised over $125,000 at its 17th Taste of Vintage gala fundraiser. All net proceeds support Goodwill’s mission to help individuals prepare for, find and retain employment in our community.

The event held on Nov. 2, 2023, was attended by over 450 guests and paid tribute to the community leadership efforts of Danielle J. Kimmel in the greater Akron area. Guests enjoyed silent and live auctions, as well as a showcase of fashions from the 1950s to 1990s from Goodwill’s Vintage Collection.

“We truly are appreciative of the generosity of our guests, many in honor of Danielle and her inspirational work in our community,” said Nancy Ellis McClenaghan, president & CEO, Goodwill Industries serving Summit, Portage, Medina, Ashland and Richland Counties. “The support we received ensures Goodwill can continue its work in its five-county territory to help individuals prepare for, find and retain employment.”
