Happy new year! I’m really excited to start a new series this year based on birthstones! I want to create some inspiration for outfits and home decor based on the color scheme of each month’s birthstone.
January is garnet. A lovely deep red color that symbolizes passion and love. And in the heart of winter in NEO I think it’s a fabulous color to incorporate into our wardrobes.
We saw this color really come up in the fall of 2024 and I don’t think this trend is going anywhere. Statement shoes in this color is a great way to mix up an outfit with a pop of garnet.
Think texture with this gorgeous color- corduroy, silk, leather. And don’t forget to search the jewelry cases at your local goodwill for statement pieces that sport this gem.
I’m excited to hit the thrift stores that will no doubt be overflowing with goods from ambitious donors who cleaned their closets and cupboards out over the holidays.
Add this lovely shade to your thrift list if you don’t already have it in your closet and pair it with denim, or a soft white for a classic timeless look!
