If you love a Goodwill treasure hunt as much as I do, then listen up—because there’s a brand-new Goodwill in town, and it’s fabulous.
Goodwill Industries of Akron recently opened its newest retail location at 3656 Massillon Road in Green (Uniontown), and I had the pleasure of visiting the spacious, beautifully designed store during its grand opening celebration on April 9. Let me tell you—it did not disappoint.
Right off the freeway and super easy to find, this 10,000-square-foot retail haven is more than just a place to score amazing deals (although I did grab some gorgeous bar stools for only $3 each—yes, you read that right). It’s a full experience.

Inside, you’ll find:
● A free self-serve job search station
● A community conference room
● A convenient drive-up donation center
● And a training site for Goodwill Vocational Program participants learning the ropes of retail.
Here’s something worth sharing: Goodwill is a nonprofit. When you shop or donate at Goodwill, you’re not just clearing out your closet or finding that perfect lamp—you’re helping people right here in our community gain job training and career placement support. Every purchase supports Goodwill Industries of Akron’s mission to help individuals prepare for, find, and retain employment. That’s shopping for a cause!
