Goodwill has a contract with the Ohio Department of Transportation to provide safety vests for all of the workers working hard to keep Ohio’s roadways in the best possible shape. The vests aid in keeping loved ones safe in a dangerous work environment everyday.

Meet the Sewing Manager!
Al Sardelle, Goodwill's Sewing Manager, has worked at Goodwill Industries of Akron for 22 years. He walked into our agency expecting a job but was pleasantly surprised to find a mission that truly connected with him! Al is proud to lead a team that blends technical skill with a purpose that strengthens our community. He oversees end-to-end production for high-visibility and flame-resistant safety vests along with other industrial products. His expertise expands the entire supply chain, from procurement of raw materials to the development of specific cutting and sewing schedules.
Al is dedicated to ensuring that every order meets Goodwill's quality standards and is delivered to customers on time. His time outside of work revolves around family and his four dogs.
