AKRON, Ohio — Feb. 9, 2016 — Goodwill Industries serving Summit, Portage, Medina, Ashland and Richland Counties named Dee Dee Collura, vice president of retail operations. Collura brings over 22 years of retail, service industry management and leadership experience to Goodwill. She is responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight of Goodwill’s 14 retail stores, including: donor cultivation; collections, processing and sales of donated and purchased goods; public outreach and customer cultivation; mission and participant support; and retail employee recruitment, training and development.

Prior to joining Goodwill, Collura held district manager positions at Pet Supplies Plus® and OfficeMax®, where she gained eight years of multi-unit management experience in leading retail operations in Northeast Ohio. In 2012, she was recognized by OfficeMax as District Manager of the Year – East Region. Also throughout her career, Collura was involved in special training projects and programs within, and supported by, her prior employers with special emphasis on creating workforce development opportunities for individuals with cognitive and mobility impairments.
Collura is a graduate of Central Hower High School in Akron with additional coursework completed at Southern Ohio College. In addition, she is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and certified in Lean Management. She resides with her family in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, where she volunteers within the school community.
