AKRON, Ohio — April 17, 2014 — Goodwill Industries serving Summit, Portage, Medina, Ashland and Richland Counties is celebrating Goodwill Week, May 5 -10. During the week, Goodwill will provide agency tours, classes and other activities at its headquarters to educate the community about its mission to help individuals prepare for, find and retain employment. In addition, the agency will launch its new retail customer loyalty program – the Goodwill Club. Beginning May 5, customers can register at any of its retail stores in the five-county region to receive a Goodwill Club card.

Goodwill Club Retail Customer Loyalty Program
Registration for the Goodwill Club card is free and customers will earn one point for every dollar spent in Goodwill’s retail stores in Summit, Portage, Medina, Ashland and Richland Counties. After earning 100 points, members will receive a 35 percent off discount coupon.

Thrift Shopping Basics
Learn thrift shopping basics from area fashion and upcycle bloggers to help save your family money – from preparing for your shopping trip to the best ways to find a fantastic outfit or that special item for an upcycle project. All classes will be held at Goodwill’s location at 570 E. Waterloo Road in Akron.
