AKRON, Ohio — May 16, 2024 — Goodwill Industries serving Summit, Portage, Medina, Ashland and Richland Counties invites area employers to nominate their outstanding employees for its 23rd Annual Employee of Distinction Luncheon on Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2024. This year, guests can participate exclusively in person. As always, at no cost, area organizations can nominate employees they would like to publicly recognize for their efforts.
“Hosting the 23rd Annual Employee of Distinction awards program is a privilege, allowing us to publicly acknowledge and applaud the hard work and excellence of employees in our community,” said Nancy Ellis McClenaghan, president & CEO, Goodwill Industries serving Summit, Portage, Medina, Ashland and Richland Counties. “We encourage area employers to come together and celebrate the amazing contributions of the local workforce. Our aim is to host an uplifting, feel-good event where every honoree is recognized for their exceptional efforts. We hope numerous organizations will participate by sharing the stories of their shining stars!”
How To Nominate
All honorees are acknowledged during the event, listed in the commemorative program, and in the running to be named one of the top Employees of Distinction (chosen by a panel of independent judges). In addition, all honorees will receive a commemorative gift.
Employers can submit a nomination online at www.goodwillakron.org/EDL now through Aug. 2.
