PAST HONOREES, CHAIRS AND BOARD CHAIRS DONATE LEAD GIFT
AKRON, Ohio — Sept. 24, 2015 — Goodwill Industries serving Summit, Portage, Medina, Ashland and Richland Counties set its goal of raising $100,000 during its 10th Annual Taste of Vintage gala fundraiser on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015. In honor of the event’s 10th anniversary, Goodwill received a special gift from a group of past honorees, chairs and board chairs of $2,500 to lead off the live mission auction during the evening. Proceeds from the event support Goodwill’s mission to help individuals prepare for, find and retain employment.
“We are excited to celebrate the 10th anniversary of this event, which includes a vintage fashion show, fantastic auction items and delicious food, as well as to have received this special donation to kick off our live mission auction that evening,” said Nancy Ellis McClenaghan president & CEO, Goodwill Industries serving Summit, Portage, Medina, Ashland and Richland Counties. “We are grateful for the support and sincerely appreciate all the time, talents and resources each of these individuals have shared with Goodwill over the years.”
