Memorial Day is almost here which means pools will soon be open! Hooray!
How much are you & your kids looking forward to splashing in the sun? Us too!
Whether you have the advantage of having your own backyard pool or Slip n’ Slide or plan on frequenting the water parks or local municipal pools, your kids will be needing a few fun swimsuits to tie up and get drenched!
Your local Goodwill has many stylish and colorful swimsuit options. From one piece suits for girls to bikini tops as well as fun Hawaiian printed board shorts and sarongs too! For boys, an array of cool-looking and comfortable board shorts are readily available this time of year!
If your young one has been swimming all day and decides to take an evening swim after dinner, they can definitely find a few swimsuit options useful. No one likes to slip into a damp suit from the afternoon when taking an evening swim. So for the low cost of just $2.48 a piece, your youngster can choose from a few summer selections!
Check out these cool board shorts for boys. Not to mention the stylish tees to coordinate along with them. There were so many options in different colors and pattern styles. And don’t forget the cool pair of shades for only $1.99 each!
I loved these great “shark” silhouette swim trunks. These could easily be worn as a pair of stylish shorts too! Put them together with a graphic tee and your young man is ready for the park or the pool!
Then there’s the multi-purpose swim shorts in blue and green. For summer, any color shirt would go great with these. I just happen to come across this trendy Abercrombie tee for only $2.48. Even a collared Polo-style shirt would be a great fit too and at the same low cost.
Girls have a few more options to chose from when it comes to summer swimsuit styles.
Girls can purchase a cute bikini top and pair it with any coordinating bottom. Multi-use swimsuits are so functional and economical.
I put together a few different styles available for girls. I found these great finds at the Twinsburg Goodwill. They have clothing displayed neatly by style and sizes.
I loved the brown Roxy brand bikini top (with darling flower charm) and brown Hawaiian sarong. The magenta bikini top would go great with the sarong as well.
And how cute is the rainbow butterfly one piece? If this was my daughter’s size, I would’ve scooped it up in a second! But I didn’t walk away empty handed — I did purchase the floral board shorts for my little California-born surfer girl.;)
So, let your kids be like the sun and shine this summer! Take a trip to your local Goodwill. There are so many swimsuit options to let them try-on and get excited for the upcoming summer season!
You’ll be happy, too, with purchasing a few pieces at a low cost — definitely getting more bang for your buck!
Remember, keep it fun. Keep it cool and keep it thrifty!
