Not only are hearts, arrows & cupids all around this month, but the cutest & most festive kids clothing is available at your local Goodwill to celebrate Valentine’s Day in style!
I always felt Valentine’s Day was celebrated at the perfect time of year because it’s something to look forward to at a time when we’ve had just about enough of winter and when Spring seems near in sight…
During this time of year, many kids have Valentine’s Day school parties and most of the kids want to wear something fun and festive to celebrate.
As a kid, I remember some teachers would give out extra credit points if we wore something red or pink in celebration of St. Valentine. Even a simple pair of red socks would be acceptable. Accessories are always fun and they add just enough festive flare!
Check out these darling outfits I put together for girls…
What’s more festive than hearts and sweaters that spell out the word love? Or how about this sweet coordinating plaid skirt and top with various chocolates!
Have you ever noticed how kids can get away with wearing various Valentine’s items all year round, but Christmas attire is a fashion faux pas? I’m not quite sure why. I suppose Santa is restricted to Christmas time only while heart shapes and sweet treats are acceptable any time of the year. Whatever the reason may be, right now, it works to your advantage!
Even this sweet rainbow heart design is perfect this time of year or any time of year! Not to mention this hot pink corduroy drop waist skirt. The soft, warm fabric is perfect for mid-winter; many young girls would surely love it!
Moving on to a few thrifty finds for boys…
I was happy to come across these two great sweaters — both can be worn with dress pants or casual jeans. I’m partial to denim, so I tend to style many tops and sweaters with jeans.
These sweaters were in excellent condition. The sweater vest may not seem the typical go-to item because it’s not a poppy red, but it’s still dressy/casual with a hint of burgundy in the trim. You can’t go wrong with either for Valentine’s Day or any day!
For the more preppy or uber casual boy, this rugby shirt with khakis is a great combo or this hip graphic tee and jeans work great for any festive event.
I always enjoy shopping for Valentine’s Day, but just like most holiday attire, there’s no need to buy something brand new when you can find endless items at the Goodwill for just a few dollars!
Whether your kids go for a dressed-up or casual look, the Goodwill has plenty of festive finds at incomparable prices.
So, be sure to stop into your local Goodwill and have fun shopping with your sweet ones this Valentine’s Day!
Enjoy and happy shopping!
