This is that time of year when I begin to keep an eye out for my favorite runway trends at Goodwill. The weather in February was brutal and my expectations for the month of March are pretty low, but for now I guess I can continue to work on crossing things off my spring thrift list. Here’s what I’ve picked up recently for spring:
Soft garden like prints scream spring. I’m looking forward to wearing this $3 top from Goodwill on State Road with a pair of skinny jeans and flats for a casual outfit.
I was surprised to see so much gingham on the runway for spring. We saw a lot of this picnic print a couple of seasons ago and it seems as though it’s here to stay. I actually bought this shirt late last summer. I’m glad I’ll be able to get some more mileage out of it this season. Gingham is such a versatile print, here I paired it with a yellow cardigan, another runway staple this season. I found the shirt at Goodwill on State Road and the cardigan at the Goodwill on Waterloo.
Pastels are always on trend in my book. If you tend to shy away from pastel hues try accessories in soft mints, pinks, or purples. I found this bag at the Goodwill on Waterloo for only $2!
I seem to be drawn to “toughened up neutrals” likes these subtle snakeskin shoes in nude tones. I bought the pumps at the Goodwill on Waterloo and the flats at the State Road location. I also found a pair of comfy wedges in cobalt blue at Goodwill on Waterloo that will be perfect for maxi dresses this spring.
Happy spring thrifting!
