AKRON, Ohio — May 18, 2021 — Goodwill Industries serving Summit, Portage, Medina, Ashland and Richland Counties invites area employers to nominate their outstanding employees for its 20th Annual Employee of Distinction Luncheon on Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021. This year, guests can participate either in person or virtually. As always, at no cost, area businesses can nominate employees they would like to publicly recognize for their efforts.
“As we continue to navigate through this challenging time, it is our pleasure to host the Employee of Distinction awards program as a service to publicly praise those outstanding employees going above and beyond to help others in our community,” said Nancy Ellis McClenaghan, president & CEO, Goodwill Industries serving Summit, Portage, Medina, Ashland and Richland Counties. “We look forward to creating a feel-good event where everyone will be inspired by each honoree’s story – whether they participate in person or virtually. Recognition is a key part in sustaining employment and it’s our hope that many organizations will participate by recognizing their shining stars.”
How To Nominate
All honorees are acknowledged during the event, listed in the commemorative program, and in the running to be named one of the top Employees of Distinction (chosen by a panel of independent judges). In addition, all honorees will receive a commemorative gift.
