AKRON, Ohio — Nov. 11, 2025 — Goodwill Industries serving Summit, Portage, Medina, Ashland and Richland Counties, along with honoree, Sylvia Trundle, raised over $158,000 at its 19th Taste of Vintage gala fundraiser — a record-breaking achievement. All net proceeds support Goodwill’s mission to help individuals prepare for, find and retain employment in our community.
The event, held on Nov. 6, 2025, was attended by over 440 guests and paid tribute to the community leadership efforts of Sylvia Trundle in the greater Akron area. Guests enjoyed silent and live auctions, as well as a showcase of fashions from the 1940s to 1990s from Goodwill’s Vintage Collection.
“We were honored to celebrate Sylvia Trundle and the many ways she continues to strengthen our community,” said Nancy Ellis McClenaghan, president & CEO, Goodwill Industries serving Summit, Portage, Medina, Ashland and Richland Counties. “The support we received ensures Goodwill can continue its work in its five-county territory to help individuals prepare for, find and retain employment.”
