1. Loafers – A chic way to keep your toesies warm as the temperatures drop. Loafers are the new ballet flat. A
good pair of loafers can add a touch of elegance and class to your work look. It can also be worn
with colorful or printed socks for a fun weekend look.
2. Midi Skirts – A midi skirt will offer more leg coverage. Swap out the silk and satin slip like styles for more fall
fabrics like denim, plaid or corduroy. Look for darker hues to match the fall vibes. A good dark
wash denim midi skirt is a wardrobe staple you might already own.
3. Layer on a Jacket – It’s time to pull out those lightweight jackets and layering pieces. Layer on a trench coat, quilted
jacket or blazers. Finish off any outfit by adding on one of these jackets. There is never a shortage
of these layering jackets at the thrift store.
4. Lightweight cardigans – Perfect for those chilly mornings. As the temperature rises throughout the day you can still look
chic and polished with the cardigan tied or draped over your shoulders. I love a fun printed knit
cardigan, but you can also thrift a classic solid or neutral color.
5. Leather bag – Swap out your straw, raffia, and wicker bags and style your outfits with a leather bag.
My favorite fall accessory is a good leather bag. No matter the style you can’t go wrong with a
leather bag in the fall. Bonus points if it is vintage.
You probably already have many of these items in your closet, but you can definitely thrift them as well.
The transition into fall can be tricky. Make the transition smooth with these 5 items. Who else is excited
for fall?
Stay thrifty friends,
