AKRON, Ohio — Feb. 4, 2026 — In 2025, Goodwill Industries serving Summit, Portage, Medina, Ashland and Richland Counties served 15,392 individuals in the community with job search assistance, training and other services. The agency will formally present 2025 service numbers at its virtual Annual Meeting and Celebration of Champions on Wednesday, March 25, 2026.
“We are grateful for the more than 380,000 donors and over 1,000,000 shoppers who supported our mission in 2025 to help individuals prepare for, find and retain employment,” said Nancy Ellis McClenaghan, president & CEO. “Our mission services team remained committed to meeting community needs by expanding virtual offerings for job search and resume assistance, as well as continuing to provide intensive services such as job coaching and work experience. In 2025, we opened a new Retail Store in Green, Ohio, and proudly celebrated the relocations of our Streetsboro and Wadsworth stores alongside their communities. We look forward to sharing more updates at our upcoming virtual 99th Annual Meeting and Celebration of Champions.”

- Served 15,392 individuals.
- Assisted 5,513 with job search assistance and employer services including virtual services, resume assistance, interview preparation, recruitment, screening, testing, training and outplacement, etc.
- Provided a hand up to over 8,000 individuals and families with clothing and housewares assistance, bus passes and/or fuel cards.
- Placed 705 in employment.
- Provided 849 individuals with valuable training and work experience within Goodwill’s Retail and Business Services operations or other local employer partners, including 394 youth program participants.
