There is no shortage of Jean jackets at Goodwill, and it seems like the styles morph every season now. So here is a simple Jean jacket DIY to fit your wardrobe and your style on a budget!
I was in desperate need of a white Jean jacket, and my Mimi found me this gorgeous one at the Goodwill bins 😍

Unfortunately, every time I reached for it something just wasn’t right. The hem hit at the wrong spot and I always ended up leaving it behind.

So, I decided to crop the jacket myself to better suit my needs and petite frame.
All you need for this is fabric scissors, a measuring tape, chalk or a colored pencil and a thrifted jean jacket of your choice!

Figure out how many inches you want to cut off your jacket and measure/mark all the way around the jacket. I took off 6 inches.

Lay the jacket out flat and cut until you reach the middle back then flip it around and cut from the other side.
Finito!!! Approximately 10-15 minutes later you have your finished product! I’m going to wash mine up to fray the edges. I also cut out the remainder of the pocket that I cut through to eliminate bulkiness.

Enjoy! Xoxo ~ Taylor
