Fashion & Food to Get Top Billing at Taste of Vintage Fundraiser

AKRON, Ohio — Oct. 2, 2013 — Goodwill Industries and honorary event chairs George and Beth Sherwood invite you to attend a night full of culinary delights and vintage fashion at the 8th Annual Taste of Vintage gala fundraiser on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013.  Proceeds from the event support Goodwill’s mission to help individuals prepare for, find and retain employment in our community.

“We are honored to chair this truly entertaining fundraiser and gala for Goodwill that includes a vintage fashion show, fantastic auction items as well as delicious food from area restaurants and specialty businesses,” said George and Beth Sherwood.  “It is also a special evening for us as we honor the achievements of our dear friend, Jerry H. Welty, for his dedication to the Akron community during a special toast.  We look forward to the event and hope for a sell-out crowd to support the great work Goodwill does in our community to provide the job training and assistance needed to give individuals a hand up and not a hand out.”
