AKRON, Ohio — July 17, 2013 — Goodwill Industries of Akron, Ohio, today announced the promotion of Christine Fontaine to director of career services. In her new role, Fontaine is responsible for overseeing the agency’s workforce development programs offered through its Vocational and Employment Resource Center services.
“For more than 85 years Goodwill has been a leader in workforce development and vocational programs,” said Greg Morton, vice president of mission services and public relations. “Christine’s diversified background and extensive experience in vocational rehabilitation services will help guide us as we continue to grow our career services offerings.”
Fontaine joined Goodwill in 1996 as a vocational evaluation consultant. Most recently, she held the position of manager, assessment and special programs. Fontaine has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Capital University in Columbus and a master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. In addition, she is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and Professional Vocational Evaluator.
