Goodwill Announces Taste of Vintage Event and Honorees: 18th Gala Fundraiser Set For Nov. 7

AKRON, Ohio — September 17, 2024 — Goodwill Industries serving Summit, Portage, Medina, Ashland and Richland Counties is pleased to announce the 18th Taste of Vintage gala fundraiser on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024. In addition, the event will honor Chuck & Corrine Tennent, for their commitment to Goodwill and the greater Akron community.

“It is with great joy that we celebrate Chuck & Corrine’s significant influence in our community,” said Nancy Ellis McClenaghan, president & CEO of Goodwill Industries serving Summit, Portage, Medina, Ashland and Richland Counties. “Chuck & Corrine have been longtime supporters of Goodwill and its mission. For over 20 years, Chuck and his insurance affiliate, Amer Insurance and most recently AJ Gallagher, have provided essential insurance services to Goodwill. In 2016, the Tennents co-chaired the 11th Taste of Vintage gala fundraiser, where Corrine’s experience with local organizations brought valuable insights. Her idea to add a runway down the center of the room for the vintage fashion show greatly enhanced the event. That year, Chuck & Corrine helped raise nearly $80,000 to support Goodwill’s mission services programs. This year, we look forward to continued success and hope for a sold-out crowd as we honor the Tennents’ service to the community and support Goodwill’s mission to help individuals prepare for, find and retain employment.”
