ANNUAL GALA FUNDRAISER SET FOR NOVEMBER 5 AT QUAKER STATION
AKRON, Ohio — May 7, 2015 — Goodwill Industries serving Summit, Portage, Medina, Ashland and Richland Counties as well as honorary event chairs George and Beth Sherwood are pleased to announce the 10th Annual Taste of Vintage gala fundraiser is on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015. In addition, the event will honor James and Julie Merklin for their support of the Akron community.
“We are excited to lead the efforts in celebrating this event’s 10th year anniversary as well as the contributions James and Julie Merklin have made in our community,” said George and Beth Sherwood. “The gala includes a vintage fashion show, fantastic auction items as well as delicious food from area restaurants and specialty businesses. We are planning for a sell-out crowd to support Goodwill and the work it does in our community to help people prepare for, find and retain employment.”
