AKRON, Ohio — Oct. 26, 2020 — Goodwill Industries serving Summit, Portage, Medina, Ashland and Richland Counties has made the difficult decision to not renew the lease of its Midway Store location. The location will close on Nov. 22, 2020, with all team members having the opportunity to move to other locations.
“We sincerely appreciate the community support at this location, especially the city of Tallmadge,” said Dee Dee Collura, vice president of retail operations, Goodwill Industries serving Summit, Portage, Medina, Ashland and Richland Counties. “We hope customers as well as donors will visit our other Summit County locations. This was a difficult decision, although eliminating the fixed cost of a store site will help offset expenses incurred during this challenging year due to COVID-19. Our focus remains on providing a safe shopper and donor experience at all our locations so we can continue to support our mission of helping individuals prepare for, find and retain employment.”
