AKRON, Ohio — August 18, 2014 — Goodwill Industries serving Summit, Portage, Medina, Ashland and Richland Counties was chosen as the local charity partner for Silver Lake Country Club’s CLUBCORP Charity Classic golf outing on Thursday, Sept. 25.
“We are sincerely appreciative to Silver Lake Country Club for choosing Goodwill as its local charity partner,” said Gregory Morton, vice president, mission services & public relations, Goodwill Industries serving Summit, Portage, Medina, Ashland and Richland Counties. “The funds we receive from the golf outing will be used to support Goodwill’s Elizabeth Clark Emergency Fund in Summit County. This fund is utilized in collaboration with other organizations to help address the emergency needs of individuals in the community in obtaining clothing, furniture and household items at Goodwill retail locations.”

With each registration, golf participants will receive a complimentary round of golf at Silver Lake Country Club, to be used at a later date. Prizes will be awarded for the following: hole in one, closest to the pin, longest drive and longest putt.
