TALLMADGE, Ohio — April 8, 2021 — Goodwill Industries serving Summit, Portage, Medina, Ashland and Richland Counties is pleased to announce it has signed a lease to reopen a Retail Store and Donation Center in the city of Tallmadge. The new location is owned by Tallmadge Properties LLC and is expected to open in early summer 2021 at South Plaza, 501 South Avenue in Tallmadge.
“Goodwill is very excited to return to the city of Tallmadge and to continue its services and support in the area,” said Dee Dee Collura, vice president, retail operations, for Goodwill Industries serving Summit, Portage, Medina, Ashland & Richland Counties. “The new location will have approximately 15 employees and we hope to open a temporary attended donation center in advance of the store site being ready. The site’s approximately 9,700 square feet of store floor, processing area and rear door donation center will continue to provide shopper and donor services, as well as workforce development services, to further our mission of helping individuals prepare for, find and retain employment. Out of every dollar spent in our stores, 89 cents helps fund Goodwill’s mission.”
In addition, Mayor David G. Kline of Tallmadge stated, “We are pleased to welcome Goodwill back into the Tallmadge community. Goodwill serves an important mission by helping individuals reach their full potential through work and job training opportunities. We applaud Goodwill’s efforts.”
According to Tallmadge Properties LLC, “We welcome Goodwill into the retail space in South Plaza. We are excited to add additional shopping traffic and appreciate the agency’s service to the community.”
