Iâm often asked how I started working with Goodwill Industries of Akron, and honestly, I think itâs a charming story.
A dear friend and colleague approached me several years ago to team up with their well-known retail client to see if I could help style a clothing rack in their store. That client was *blue / A GOODWILL BOUTIQUE /* located in the heart of Downtown Akron, Ohio.
You see, Downtown Akron is one of my favorite places to woolgather.
Pulling clothing from the exquisite selection at blue / A GOODWILL BOUTIQUE / was one of my favorite things to do.
I would spot a fresh trend or notice a recurring pattern and go with it.
I enjoyed the buzz and creativity that came with curating the rack each month.
Years later, when I began working again with Goodwillâafter blue / A GOODWILL BOUTIQUE had moved to the Montrose Center at 3900 Medina Roadâmy role as a content creator evolved. I now get to visit stores throughout the Northeast Ohio region for Goodwill Industries of Akron.
The coolest part of my job? I get to visit a different Goodwill location each monthâsometimes two!
Each store has its own unique energy, and I love highlighting the standout departments. Spoiler alert: Iâm almost always drawn to the dress section and completely captivated by Home DĂ©cor.
I *have* to make a list before I walk in⊠otherwise, Iâll be tempted.
