How to Wear BLACK this Summer

While I love all the bright fun colors associated with summertime and sunshine, I still love the classic look of neutrals in the warmer months.

Here are a few ways you can wear black this summer while staying cool and looking chic:

A black slip skirt and a breezy button down will give you that french girl style, especially when paired with a simple black flat or heel. Give this look a pop of color with a bright mani/pedi.

Cream or white denim and a black cotton tank are effortlessly stylish. Add a neutral sandal and a leather bag to top off the look.

A black body-con dress topped with a linen or cotton oversized button down give you the versatility to throw on sneakers or a fancier shoe. Thrift stores are usually riddled with both of these items, which is a great way to try out this look on a budget if it is out of your comfort zone.

Next time you spot a pair of “granny” pants (aka- elastic waist band pull on slacks) at the thrift, grab them and try them on. They are surprisingly versatile for summer with chunky sandals to pumps and can be dressed up and down.
