I know all the neutral lovers are jumping for joy that one of the hottest colors at the moment is brown. It was all over the fall runways. It’s a much richer bold hue vs the typical harsh black. If you’re an all-black lover, why not swap it for brown instead.
From rich chocolate browns to caramel, pairing brown together can be effortlessly chic. When you’re wearing an all-monochromatic look remember it’s all about adding interest. Add texture, pattern and shine. Mix up the hues from light to dark. I think we all have brown in our closets already. However, if you are lacking in that department, it can easily be thrifted. I personally have a chocolate brown sweater and oversized blazer on my thrift wish list.
Don’t forget to accessorize this fall, it’s a simple way to add in a dose of brown. You can add a rich brown boot, handbag or even a fall hat. Don’t be afraid to mix brown with other fall colors and hues. Burgundy is another hot color for fall. Burgundy looks beautiful paired with brown. You can wear brown the same way you would wear black. You might be surprised how well it goes with everything.
These tips can also be applied to menswear. I saw a lot of runway looks for men in head-to-toe brown, and they were some of my favorites. So, to all my guys out there don’t shy away from wearing all brown.
Wearing brown is a trend for all. Even when the trend is over you can still wear these items as standalone pieces. Brown is such a staple color and if you choose a classic silhouette, it will stand the test of time in your wardrobe. All the items pictured I found at the Goodwill Streetsboro location. The great thing about this location is the racks are color coordinated. Which makes shopping a breeze. I spotted many brown gems hidden on the racks. So go shop your closet or shop the racks of your local Goodwill Akron store.
Stay thrifty friends!
