Kids’ Holiday Deals For Less

Bright lights are aglow, wreaths are hung and snow is covering the ground. The holiday season is in full swing!

It truly is the most wonderful time of the year and shopping at Goodwill right now can be so much fun!

When I’m shopping for my child for any holiday, I think to myself that spending too much on an outfit or dress seems unjustified since it will only be worn a few times or so.

That’s why Goodwill is a great place to venture when looking for an affordable and festive outfit for your kids.

Right now there are several girl’s holiday dresses available.

I adore this silver layered ruffled dress with large gem embellishments. It’s a great alternative to the traditional red or green holiday dress because it can be worn year-round and not just specifically for Christmas. It’s perfect for New Year’s Eve as well! Pair it with some grey or silver sparkly tights and add a pair of flats in pretty much any color and your girl is ready to shine!

Now for the more traditional looking Christmas dresses.

This black velvet/polka dotted taffeta dress was in beautiful condition and was probably worn only once before making its way to the Twinsburg Goodwill. This dress can retail easily for $30+ and Goodwill had it for $2.98! (I can see your jaw dropping over that one.)

This red velvet dress trimmed in holiday plaid was just as cute. Soft, festive and in good condition, it’s a steal that any of us would want to take advantage of at holiday time. Both would be darling with black or red ballet flats and tights.

Another beautiful find was this red satin sleeveless dress with delicate empire waist beading. Not to mention the matching red Santa bag as a fun accessory.

Goodwill carries plenty of festive colored shirts for boys. I always like to layer boy’s clothes and use a pop of color to bring everything together for a holiday look.

Corduroys and jeans are always a safe bet when styling boys. Of course, there’s always a few dress pants to choose from as well.

I stuck with a casual look and utilized a neutral pair of cords and perfectly faded washed jeans and a pop of red to keep the boys both comfortable and festive for the holidays.

There were several styles of red shirts to consider for layering or to even wear independently with boy’s bottoms. Here are just a few examples:

Keep your eyes peeled for festive sweaters and sweater vests to pair with either casual or dressy bottoms. Sometimes they’re a little harder to come by, so it’s always a great find when you can get your hands on one for the low cost of $2.48.

Goodwill is grateful for donations, so keep them in mind when cleaning out your kid’s closets and drawers to keep the thrifty cycle going and to help in maintaining and creating jobs.

It’s truly a win-win.

So when you’re thinking about holiday clothing for your little ones, take a trip to your local Goodwill for festive finds and thrifty prices.

Happy Holidays…and Happy Shopping!
