The first day of Autumn is just around the corner…September 22nd to be exact. It’s sure approaching fast. By now most kiddos are back in school and hopefully sporting all their fun back to school finds. And soon they’ll be getting their kicks out of jumping into leaf piles and picking out their favorite shaped pumpkin!
As we transition from warm temps to cooler, crisper air, this is the time of year to get some ideas for fall coordinates.
Nothing speaks “fall” to me as much as a cozy flannel shirt. Especially when it’s been pre-owned or much loved, as I like to say.
This time of year, your young ones can find a variety of flannels. I found quite a few different varieties in the boys section. From earth tones to bright colors. And I’ll let you in on a little secret: girls can easily get away with wearing boy’s flannels. It’s one of the few items that look so cute on girls as well!
Check out these two different plaid prints — equally stylish and comfortable. Flannels go well with virtually any shade of denim bottoms or cotton pants. I always loved the look of distressed jeans with a flannel — for boys and girls. There’s just something cool and casual about these two items together. It’s definitely a great fall look for kids!
Most school aged girls have a denim skirt tucked in their closet and if not, you can find a variety of styles at your local Goodwill.
I loved this low-waisted pleated style skirt with this cozy blush cable knit sweater. Pair it with a cute pair of colorful tights and booties and it makes the perfect fall outfit for any young girl!
How cute is this turquoise-striped knit dress paired with matching leggings? The dress is actually Justice brand. It could’ve easily retailed for $40+, but you can find it along with other store brands at your local Goodwill for only $2.48!
A cute cross body bag and colorful accessories could finish off the look for any tween!
Soon scarves and gloves will be adorning the aisles at your local Goodwill stores as well. Be sure to pick up a few of these fun coordinates to accessorize your kid’s outfits throughout the cooler months ahead. Don’t forget: Goodwill also carries an array of parka vests and denim jackets for boys and girls all year through, so always keep your eyes peeled for these classic finds!
