MELLINGER NAMED GOODWILL’S DIRECTOR, HUMAN RESOURCES
NEW ROLE EFFECTIVE AUGUST 4, 2012
AKRON, Ohio—August 15, 2012— Bringing over 13 years of human resources management with various organizations, Jocelyn J. Mellinger began her new role as the Director of Human Resources for Goodwill Industries of Akron (GIA) effective August 4, 2012. Mellinger is responsible for directing the agency’s Human Resources efforts.
In announcing Mellinger as the selection, Greg Morton, Vice President of Mission Services and Public Relations, stated, “We welcome Jocelyn to the Goodwill team. She has a very strong background in the Human Resources field and we look forward to her valuable direction and contributions to the agency.”
Mellinger holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology/Criminology with a minor in Psychology from Athens, Ohio and a Senior Professional Human Resource (SPHR) Certification from the HR Certification Institute/Society of Human Resource Management. She is also a member of the Akron Area Society of Human Resource Managers in which she has served on the Executive Committee as the Diversity Committee Chair.
GIA is a not-for-profit corporation that helps individuals prepare for, find, and retain employment. Operating in the five-county region of Summit, Portage, Medina, Ashland, and Richland, the Akron-based agency was established in 1927.
