Painted Children’s Chair

GoodwilPaintedChair-Main

Children-sized chairs always find their way into my shopping cart. I certainly don’t need them — I have two in our basement, one on our porch, and three in our garage — but I can’t stop buying them!

I came across this KidKraft chair at the Northfield Goodwill for only $4, and in my cart it went!

To match our gray and white living room, I painted the chair two-tone using Annie Sloan chalk paint in Pure White and French Linen.

It’s always amazing what a little paint can do to change the entire personality of a piece of furniture.

BeforeAfter

The little gray planter came from Goodwill Twinsburg for 80 cents. And the Readers Digest “Best Loved Books for Young Readers” came from Goodwill Waterloo for $1 each. To be honest, I bought them just because I liked the patterned covers, but I was excited to find out they were full of classic stories like Jane Eyre, Treasure Island, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame (all of which I’ve never read).

If you see me shopping at Goodwill and there’s a kids chair in my cart, kindly remind me that I now have seven of them at home!

Happy Thrifting!
