Radio Reading Service Listeners Enjoy New Online and Roku Access

AKRON, OH — Since this past January, Goodwill Industries of Akron has updated and expanded it’s radio reading service options for the first time in 18 years. Smartphone, Alexa, home computer devices, as well as Roku has expanded audio service’s reach beyond Goodwill Akron’s five-county service area.

Seeing Eye Radio of Goodwill Akron serves a dedicated audience of blind, low-vision, senior and disabled individuals throughout the Northeast and North Central counties of Ohio. Local news and other informational programs are heard daily around-the-clock.

Listeners may now access Seeing Eye Radio programs free-of-charge, 24 hours, 7 days a week. Connect instantly online at www.SeeingEyeRadio.org. Also, access the service with your cell phone, tablet, Alexa or television through Roku. With Roku, Install the TuneIn app from the channel store. Then search for “Goodwill Akron Radio.” Play and enjoy. “We’ve added programming for all age segments which has resulted in listeners that are more informed and more engaged,” says Manager John Moledor.
